Unfortunately for us -makers & aficionados- a knife is increasingly perceived not as a tool, but as a weapon. In many countries, stricter laws mean that even the carrying of small pocket knives is banned. This development is particularly worrying for us, who work daily with high-quality knives.

It is therefore all the more important that organisations such as Messerverbot-nein-danke become active in Austria and advocate for the reasonable handling of knives. They fight against populist and excessive regulations that disregard the practical use and cultural significance of knives.
